| proprio come nel testo della canzone, allora tra irlandesi ed italiani non c'era gran differenza, lavoro duro, poca istruzione appena sufficiente per leggere e scrivere se andava bene, vita dura ogni giorno; mia nonna è nata a Montebabbio nel 1904, la casa la chiamavano "la capana", probabilmente i comfort erano veramente pochi, studiò fino alla seconda elementare, poi andò a lavorare come tanti altri di quell'epoca. |
